Main character energy all up in here.
I am continuing on with the subscription donation project. May is Lupus Awareness Month so I’m keeping the April organization for May. That organization is Lupus LA. This is a great organization suggested by my wonderful friend Kelsey. Kelsey is also great and I highly suggest you check out her TikTok. If you are new here (welcome!) or need a refresher, you can always find more details of the project on my About page. And if you want to be a matching donor, let me know.
This newsletter means a lot to me. If you are connecting with the work at all, please consider clicking the heart button and/or leaving a comment and/or sharing it. Info below but there is going to be a couple week hiatus which is an extra great time to share.
The rumors are true. It happened without much fanfare but last week, we reached the end of the recap of all those daily selfies. We’ve been on a journey (to the past) from March 23, 2020 to May 16, 2021 while also living here and now, living, laughing, loving, learning. We’ve done it all in the last year and a half. Well, maybe not it all, but we’ve done a lot. And I know because I recently reread alllllllll of newsletters. (That’s the Leo Moon in me.) So, I thought it would be fun to wrap-up everything up until now with a recap.
All that said, this newsletter is not going anywhere. It’ll probably remain much the same, just without all the selfies. (Although…if you want more selfies in general, let me know.) Weekly editions will still come out on Sundays and the paid editions will still come out sometime during the week. And the Haiku Salon! Those are sticking around too. The topics will continue to run the gamut. I am open to suggestions as well; if there are any topics you’d like me to explore or anything about me you are wondering about, I’d love to hear them. I’m always happy to listen to suggestions. I am really thankful you all have been on this journey with me.
Now, all that said, I am going to take a couple of weeks off. I have recently found myself unemployed, ahhh-laid off if you will, and am about to head to hang with my family in Washington State for both a funeral and a wedding. A little bit of recalibration is needed. My current plan is to start back up for Sunday, June 11th. Paid subscribers, you will still receive your haikus next week. So, y’all have a lot of time to catch up! Lucky lucky.
And thank you. I continue to be so happy you are here and I am already appreciative of the time.
Without further ado, let’s revisit some of the highest highs and lowest lows of the last year and a half at This’ll Have to Do!
