A good Tuesday to you all! We have reached the end of my birthday month. *Le sigh.*
But, in better news, it’s time for the ninth installment of the monthly literary salon filled with haikus. The inspiration for these haikus are picked by popular vote each month. Last month, the subject was THE 90s. This month, I did something a little bit different with the poll; I had you pick where I would get the word for the haikus, not what the word is. You picked “page 52 from book 10 on my shelf #3” and here we are.
That book is Dominicana by Angie Cruz. Since I usually write roughly five haikus, I closed my eyes, and put my finger on a random part of the page five times to get five words. Those words are: sparkling, dried, attracts, skinny, and luggage. I used each word in a different haiku and have highlighted the words in the haikus just for fun.
And I’m continuing with letting y’all pick the topic for these haikus. So be sure to scroll all the way to the bottom and answer the poll.
