Hello dear readers. My body may still be full from a wonderful day of turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and cheesecake but my heart is always full with gratitude for you.
It is time for the 17th installment of the monthly literary salon filled with haikus. The inspiration for these haikus are picked by popular vote each month. Last month’s haikus were inspired by our collective favorite children’s toy: plastic toy kitchens.
For this month, I had you vote on your favorite way to say good-bye. It seems fitting as we will soon say good-bye (and good riddance) to 2023. Most of you liked to say good-bye by blowing a kiss. The sweetest!
While I will be continuing to let y’all pick the haiku inspiration for each month, I am taking December off. Not of everything but of the haiku salon. So I’ll be back in January with a new poll. Or, if you have an inspiration request, feel free to send it along. OR I may just be inspired by what I want to be inspired by. But the polls will be back. NEVER FEAR. (If you were.)
Be slow as you head out the door after the haikus. I have something to send you on your way.
